Cisco introduces Continuing Education Program& Switching Instructor
Cisco's Continuing Education Program is based on three founding principles: Flexibility, Diversity, and Integrity. Flexibility is achieved by offering existing Cisco certified individuals an alternative option for recertification, in addition to the already existing option of recertifying by passing the relevant exam(s). Diversity is achieved by allowing individuals a wide range of preapproved items, such as online courses, instructor-led training, authoring of content, and Cisco Live training offerings (collectively called "Continuing Education items"), which can be pursued to earn credits toward recertification. Integrity is achieved by having Cisco authorized content providers like Training Partners, who deliver the content to the individual seeking recertification, validate the credits submitted by that individual.

The Continuing Education Program is governed by the Cisco Continuing Education Advisory Board.

The Cisco Continuing Education Program is offered to current Cisco CCIE or CCDE certified individuals as a flexible alternative for recertification. Individuals now have an option to recertify by passing a relevant exam or by earning credits through Continuing Education. Authorized Cisco Learning Partners such as Training Partners, will be able to deliver Continuing Education training for credit.

Once candidates have earned the designated number of credits and paid their Continued Education Program
administrative fee, they will be recertified as per the existing recertification policies.

3 Steps for Recertification
The candidate logs in to, agrees to the terms and conditions, and enrolls in the Continuing Education Program.
The candidate accumulates and reports the required number of credits before the certification expires. A total of 100 credits is to be earned.
The candidate pays the Continuing Education Program administrative fee of $300 before the certification expires.
